
Toronto Pride is one of the world’s largest celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community. A large component of that celebration involves being in close physical proximity to other people, whether during the Parade itself, or any of the concerts, events, and social gatherings associated with the week-long event. But in the summer of 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak, that physical nearness made Pride appear to be an impossibility. But Fido Mobile – a long-time supporter of LGBTQ+ rights – wanted to find a way to bring the spirit of Pride to the people of Toronto in a safe, socially distant way.
